Vivian Gaines Tanner, an inspired painter and poet and founder of the Paxton-Tanner
Art Gallery, has produced a prodigious body of work despite having never
had a formal art training. Inspired by an intuitive vision of the natural
world bringing Eden's pristine scenes to us, she was started on her growing
career by dreams and precisely instructive lessons which she ascribes to
a divine outpouring of grace.
Originally seen in her locality, the Hudson Valley, in banks and restaurants, she has gained an increasing appreciation by exhibits in New York City and special showings in a widening circle. |
